About Me

Christof Ehrhart – Picture: Bosch

Welcome to Future-Proofing PR. My name is Christof Ehrhart and I want to use this blog to discuss the future of corporate communication and sustainability management. My blog posts are based on my own personal view and in no way reflect those of my employer. I look forward to reading your comments and suggestions, and welcome your ideas.

I have more than 20 years of experience in communications management. Since 2019, I am Head of Communications and Government Relations at Robert Bosch Group, a leading global supplier of technology and services. Prior to that I served ten years as the global Head of Corporate Communications & Responsibility at Deutsche Post DHL Group. During my carreer I held also positions at EADS (now Airbus), Schering, Bertelsmann and JT International.

In addition to my corporate career, I have been a long-time lecturer in the field of corporate communications. The University of Leipzig appointed me Adjunct Professor of International Corporate Communications in January 2013. I have also held chairs at other institutes of higher education, including the Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Zurich. I speak regularly on the topics of media and communications, and I have published a number of articles on these subjects in trade journals and academic books.

I studied political science, economic and social history, and contemporary German literature at the University of Saarland in Saarbrücken, Germany, and at the University of Wales College in Cardiff. After receiving my doctorate in political science, I worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Saarland. I also worked as a freelance journalist in both television and print media before beginning my corporate career.
